Gold Strike!

Winner of our Autumn 2009 adventure competition.

The characters are called on to investigate the fate of a mining expedition. Sent to re-open an old dwarven mine, the miners haven’t been heard from in weeks and the mine’s owner is getting worried. Can the party save the miners and escape the terror lurking in the dark?

This OGL adventure is suitable for use with 3.0/3.5 edition D&D characters of 4th to 6th level. It is available for download free as part of our Open-Playtest. A full paid-for PDF version will be available in the next few months.

Sanctum of the Fiery Ladder

The Open-Playtest period of the winning entry for the Summer 2009 adventure writing competition has now come to an end. Sanctum of the Fiery Ladder is a challenging 6th – 8th level adventure pitting the party against an evil cult and the creatures they have summoned.

Getting Your Adventure Published

Aspiring writers should look at our Adventure Writing Competition. It is especially designed to help authors make that leap from writing for themselves to writing for others. This is a big step and many talented writers stumble and fall at this hurdle. To make life easier we have structured the competition to be as supportive of possible. We ask entrants to send in their ideas for D&D adventures and we provide feedback and offer advice on what to next. This process is repeated as often as possible with the author sending in outlines and rough drafts and 6d6 giving constructive criticism and encouragement until the final version is submitted.

Each month the best adventure is selected for publication and given the 6d6 treatment before being made available as part of the Open-Playtest. Afterwards it will be included in collection of competition winners and published in print and digital formats. The authors of the winning D&D adventures will receive 100% of the profits from the sales as a prize.

If you are already a published D&D adventure writing you are welcome to enter the competition. Alternatively, if you have something special that you think is worth publishing, get in touch. We are always interested in high quality adventures.
